Commissioner Koons Sponsors Kids' Marathon

Commissioner Koons recently attended the 4th annual Marathon of the Palm Beaches held Nov. 30 - Dec. 2 at Meyer Amphitheatre in Downtown West Palm Beach. He has been a sponsor of the race weekend since its inauguration in 2004. The 3-day weekend began on Friday with a health and fitness expo featuring sponsor giveaways and important health and safety tips.

Saturday was reserved for the Ronald McDonald House Charities 5-K race and Kids Read-n-Run Marathon mile. On Sunday, the Marathon, Half Marathon and Team Relay were held. The weekend's events concluded with two official awards ceremonies and a post-race party for all participants.
