On July 31, 2008, Commissioner Bob Kanjian was invited to celebrate the grand opening of Lowe’s newest store on Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach.  Speaking to the store’s young employees, he regaled them with his memories of visiting Toys R’ Us as one of the highlights of his youth.  Now as an adult, he gets the same enjoyment by walking through a large hardware store like Lowe’s.
