PALM BEACH COUNTY TRAFFIC DIVISION UPDATE OF
STATUS FOR JULY 21, 2008 THROUGH JULY 27, 2008 *** CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONES ADDED OR CHANGED *** 1. LOCATION: Jupiter Farms Rd. ¾ mile south of Indiantown Rd. (west of the Town of Jupiter) DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work. RESTRICTIONS: Jupiter Farms Rd. will be closed at ¾ mile south of Indiantown Rd. from 7:00 A.M. on July 23, 2008, through August 20, 2008, at 6:00 P.M. Traffic will be detoured via: Indiantown Rd., Hayne Lane, 167th Place North and Randolph Siding Rd. *** UNCHANGED CONSTRUCTION WORK ZONES ***
2. LOCATION: Forest Hill Blvd. from Wellington Trace to S.R. 80 (Village of Wellington) DESCRIPTION: Construction of a 6-lane divided roadway from the existing 4-lane. RESTRICTIONS: On July 16, 2008, the two southbound lanes will be shifted to the west, eliminating the right lane into Quercus Ct. The northbound traffic will be shifted, daily 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, onto the new asphalt. 3. LOCATION: Roebuck Rd. from Haverhill Rd. to Military Trail (west of the City of West Palm Beach) DESCRIPTION: Pavement marking. RESTRICTIONS: Lane closures are expected this week. 4. LOCATION: Hypoluxo Rd. from U.S. 441 (SR 7) to Hagen Ranch Rd. (west of the City of Boynton Beach) DESCRIPTION: Construction of a new bridge and connecting roadway over the Florida Turnpike. RESTRICTIONS: Contractor is working from east of US 441 to east of Lyons Rd. No lane closures expected. 5. LOCATION: Congress Ave. at Golf Rd. (Town of Boynton Beach) DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work. RESTRICTIONS: The southbound right lane will be closed Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. 6. LOCATION: Palmetto Park Rd. at Military Trail (City of Boca Raton) DESCRIPTION: Pavement marking. RESTRICTIONS: There will be lane closures. 7. LOCATION: Jog Road from SR 80 to Forest Hill Blvd. (City of Greenacres) DESCRIPTION: Pavement marking. RESTRICTIONS: Lane closures will occur. 8. LOCATION: Beach Rd. bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway (Town of Jupiter and Village of Tequesta) DESCRIPTION: Bridge painting. RESTRICTIONS: From July 8, 2008, to July 21, 2008, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. traffic will be reduced to one lane using alternating traffic. 9. LOCATION: Greenview Shores Blvd. from South Shore Blvd. to Wellington Trace (Village of Wellington) DESCRIPTION: Widening of the existing 2 lanes to 4 lanes divided. RESTRICTIONS: Traffic has been switched to the ultimate location. However, the northbound traffic will still remain in one lane. 10. LOCATION: C.R. 880 between S.R. 80 and C.R. 700 (west of the Village of Wellington) DESCRIPTION: Steel truss bridge will be painted. RESTRICTIONS: The road will be closed from 6:00 A.M. on July 8, 2008, through 6:00 P.M. on July 25, 2008. Traffic will be detoured via: S.R. 80 and C.R. 700. 11. LOCATION: Okeechobee Blvd. from Royal Palm Beach High School to S.R. 7 (Village of Royal Palm Beach) DESCRIPTION: Construction of an 8-lane divided road from the existing 6-lane. RESTRICTIONS: There will be lane closures 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. 12. LOCATION: Haverhill Rd. from 45th St. north to the C-4 Canal (City of West Palm Beach and City of Riviera Beach) DESCRIPTION: Widening of the roadway and replace the bridge with a culvert. RESTRICTIONS: On June 9, 2008, Haverhill Rd. will be closed at the C-4 canal (1,900 feet north of 45th Street) for 45 days. Traffic will be detoured via: 45th Street, Military Trail and S.R. 710 (Bee Line Hwy.) 13. LOCATION: Woolbright Rd. Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway (City of Boynton Beach and Town of Ocean Ridge) DESCRIPTION: Bridge Rehabilitation. RESTRICTIONS: The bridge will be closed to all traffic from June 2, 2008, to September 9, 2008. Traffic will detour via: U.S. # 1, Ocean Ave. in the City of Boynton Beach and A-1-A. 14. LOCATION: Clintmoore Rd. at Military Trail (City of Boca Raton) DESCRIPTION: Construction of turn lanes. RESTRICTIONS: Expect lane closures Monday through Friday during the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. 15. LOCATION: Donald Ross Rd. from I-95 to Prosperity Farms Rd. (Town of Jupiter and City of Palm Beach Gardens) DESCRIPTION: This is a permit project to widen the 4-lane areas to 6-lane. RESTRICTIONS: Lane closures from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. 16. LOCATION: Lyons Road from Linton Blvd. to West Atlantic Ave. (One Mile Rd.) (west of the city of Delray Beach) DESCRIPTION: Reconstruction of the existing 2-lane roadway. RESTRICTIONS: Trucks will be entering and exiting the roadway. |
