PALM BEACH COUNTY TRAFFIC DIVISION UPDATE OF
ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION LIST

LOCATION: Lake Worth Rd. at Jog Rd. Intersection

DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work by the Gas Company.

RESTRICTIONS: Lake Worth Rd. (westbound) On the west side of the intersection, the two right lanes will be closedat 8:00 P.M., Friday March 12, 2010, and will re-open by 6:00 A.M. on Monday March 15, 2010.
On the east side of the intersection, the right thru lane will become a right turn lane. The center lane will be closed leaving the left lane as the only thru lane. Jog Rd. (northbound) On the south side of the intersection one of the two left turn lanes will be closed. The Police will be at this location. There will be traffic delays.

1. LOCATION: Lyons Rd. from Glades Rd. to Yamato Rd. (west of the City of Boca Raton)

DESCRIPTION: Construction of a 6-lane divided roadway from the existing 4-lanes.

RESTRICTIONS: There will be lane closures north and southbound Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.  The Lyons Rd. southbound right lane, from Olympic Heights High School to Glades Rd., will be closed.

2. LOCATION: Okeechobee Blvd. from Royal Palm Beach High School to east of the Florida Turnpike (Village of Royal Palm Beach and City of West Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Construction of an 8-lane divided road from the existing 6-lane.

RESTRICTIONS: There will be lane closures Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. The Benoist Farms Rd. left turn lane onto Okeechobee Blvd. is closed and will remain closed until a full traffic signal can be installed. There will be lane closures for night paving Sunday through Friday from 9:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.

3. LOCATION; CR 880 from Sam Senter Rd. to east of the City of Belle Glade (east of the City of Belle Glade)

DESCRIPTION: Pavement markings.

RESTRICTIONS: Flaggers will be controlling traffic.

4. LOCATION: Northlake Blvd. from the Florida Turnpike to Ryder Cub Blvd. (City of Palm Beach Gardens)

DESCRIPTION: Pavement markings.

RESTRICTIONS: There will be lane closures, westbound only, from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.

5. LOCATION: Hypoluxo Rd. from Jog Rd. to Military Trail (west of the City of Boynton Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Construction of a 6-lane divided roadway from the existing 4-lanes.

RESTRICTIONS: There will be periodic lane closures westbound Monday through Friday 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. The sidewalk from Haverhill Rd. west to Jog Rd. is closed to all pedestrian traffic.

From February 22, 2010 to March 29, 2010, the right lane eastbound from 700’ east of Jog Rd. to the E-3 canal will be closed.

6. LOCATION: Congress Ave. from 26th St. to south of Blue Heron Blvd. (City of Riviera Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Widening of the existing roadway.

RESTRICTIONS: Periodic lane closures will occur.

7. LOCATION: Alt. A1A (SR 811) from Donald Ross Rd. to Center St. (Town of Jupiter)

DESCRIPTION: Reconstruction of 4 lane divided roadway to 6 lane divided roadway.

RESTRICTIONS: There will be intermittent lane closures from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. The sidewalk will be closed on Alt. A1A from 500 ft. north to 2,500 ft. south of Toney Penna Drive.

8. LOCATION: Okeechobee Blvd. from Ponce De Leon St. west to the M-2 canal (Village of Royal Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Installation of a 36’ water main.

RESTRICTIONS: The right lane west bound will be closed for approximately two months.

9. LOCATION: Hagen Ranch Rd. from Boynton Beach Blvd. north 2,000 feet (west of the City of Boynton Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Installing median, milling and paving.

RESTRICTIONS: Periodic lane closures will occur.

10. LOCATION:Military Trail from I-95 to Hood Rd. (City of Palm Beach Gardens)

DESCRIPTION: Installation of 36” reclaimed water pipe.

RESTRICTIONS: The northbound right lane will be closed 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.

11. LOCATION: 45^th St. from east of Haverhill Rd. to Jog Rd. (City of West Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Existing 2-lane to 4-lane divided, including a new bridge over the Turnpike.

RESTRICTIONS: Lane closures are expected east of Haverhill Rd.

12. LOCATION: Old Boynton Rd. from Congress Ave. to Boynton Beach Blvd. (City of Boynton Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Road widening and bridge replacement.

RESTRICTIONS: Old Boynton Rd. is closed to all traffic at the E-4 canal. The E-4 Canal is located halfway between Congress Ave. and Boynton Beach Blvd. Traffic will be detoured via: Boynton Beach Blvd. and Congress Ave. Old Boynton Rd. should be open to traffic in the next few weeks.

13. LOCATION: Lawrence Rd. at the Stanley Weaver Canal/Boynton Canal (west of the City of Boynton Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Reconstruction of the existing 2 lane bridge to 5 lanes.

DESCRIPTION: Lane closures are not expected.

14. LOCATION: Kirk Rd. and Lakewood Rd. (south of the Village of Palm Springs)

DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work.

RESTRICTIONS: Lakewood Rd. from the east side of Kirk Rd. to Gulfstream Rd. is closed.

15. LOCATION: Woolbright Rd. between Seacrest Blvd. and U.S. # 1 (City of Boynton Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work, milling, paving and relocation of the traffic signal.

RESTRICTIONS: Periodic lane closures 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. On February 15, 2010 and February 16, 2010, during the hours of 7:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M., the road will be closed to all traffic. The detour is Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach Blvd. and U.S. #1.

16. LOCATION: 10th Ave. North from Dixie Hwy./U.S. #1 to Federal Hwy. (City of Lake Worth)

DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work, curb/gutter and paving

RESTRICTIONS: The roadway will be closed except to local traffic. Use 13th Ave. North to avoid the construction.

17. LOCATION: Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd. from S.R. 80 to south of Okeechobee Blvd. (west of the Town of Loxahatchee Groves)

DESCRIPTION: Clearing and underground utility work.

RESTRICTIONS: No traffic delays expected during the day.

18. LOCATION: Okeechobee Blvd. from Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd. to east of Crestwood Blvd. (Town of Loxahatchee Groves and Village of Royal Palm Beach)

DESCRIPTION: Underground utility work.

RESTRICTIONS: There may be alternating traffic from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the use of flaggers.
