Lewis Center each month with their families seeking help.  The mob took place at 1:00 p.m. in front of the fountains at City Place.  Despite the heat the crowd was lively and onlookers were plentiful. Each person participating in the mob represented one homeless child. Colorfully painted and hand-drawn signs got the message out there.

Some celebrate the moment by washing their cars, hosing off their driveways or running the dishwasher. These are some of the worst things you can do after a storm, especially with power outages. When there is a lack of power at the county’s 800+ wastewater pump stations and people immediately start using more water, it causes more problems for the already stressed system. Before you know it, wastewater is bubbling up into the streets and possibly into the drains of neighboring homes. This is a scenario we want to avoid.
