The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

On January 17th with the enactment of the Omnibus Spending bill, Congress ended the reporting requirement for recipients of Recovery awards. January 2014 is the last time recipients had to report on the status of those awards.  There will be no further updates to this information.

On Feb. 13, 2009, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 at the urging of President Obama, who signed it into law four days later. The Recovery Act contains built-in measures to prevent fraud, waste and abuse, and requires an unprecedented level of transparency and accountability from local governments, so that Palm Beach County residents can see and understand how their tax dollars are being spent within the County to fund important projects, create and retain jobs and restore economic vitality.
