The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

On Feb. 13, 2009, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 at the urging of President Obama, who signed it into law four days later.
The Recovery Act contains built-in measures to prevent fraud, waste and abuse, and requires an unprecedented level of transparency and accountability from local governments, so that Palm Beach County residents can see and understand how their tax dollars are being spent within the County to fund important projects, create and retain jobs and restore economic vitality.
