  • Q: How do I know which bus to take?

  • A: Route and schedule information is available on Palm Tran’s website or you can call Customer Service for assistance planning your trip at561-841-4BUS or 877-930-4287(toll-free).

    Palm Tran also has a publication called the "Palm Tran Rider's Guide." It lists major destinations in the county, and which bus route they are on in addition to the maps and timetables for all Palm Tran routes.

    You can also visit our website or download our myStop Mobile app available to all iPhone users in the App Store to receive assistance in planning your trip. Additionally, riders can sign up for a one-time text alert by texting igo and the bus stop number to 321123 to receive real-time departure information by route and stop. Register on the website to sign up for a daily subscription service that will send these alerts directly to you by text and/or email.

  • Q: How can I get a Palm Tran Rider’s Guide (bus schedule)?

  • Q: How much does it cost to ride the bus?

  • A: Regular full fare (single trip) is $2.00, half fare is $1.00, and children age 8 and under ride free with a fare paying passenger. An unlimited daily pass costs $5.00 or $3.50 reduced. These passes can be purchased on the bus and you should have exact change ready when boarding because fare boxes do not give change. However, a fare card will be issued for over-payment in excess of $1.00 which can be used towards future rides on Palm Tran.

  • Q: Where can I purchase a 31-day bus pass and how much does it cost?

  • A: An unlimited 31-day pass costs $70.00 or $55.00 reduced and can be purchased at Palm Tran Connection, the Intermodal Transit Center, Palm Beach County Governmental Center, all Palm Beach County library system branches, and the Florida Atlantic University Owl Card Center in Boca Raton.   • Q: When do Palm Tran buses run?

  • A: Buses run 7 days a week, serving more than 3,200 bus stops from Jupiter to Boca Raton and west to the Glades. Generally speaking, weekday peak service runs every 30 minutes, off-peak service runs hourly, and weekend service runs hourly on most routes.

  • Q: Does the Palm Tran bus have service on holidays?

  • A: A: There is no bus service on the following days: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

  • Q: Can I bring my bicycle on the Palm Tran bus?

  • A: Yes. You can put your bike on the rack in front of the bus on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no additional charge and no permit is required. Buses cannot accommodate mopeds, gas or battery powered motor bikes or scooters of any kind, or tandem bicycles. Portable bikes and scooters (only if secured into a carrying case or bag) are allowed inside the bus.

  • Q: I am a senior citizen who is no longer able to drive. Is there transportation available for me?

  • A: Palm Tran Connection (a shared ride, door-to-door paratransit service) is available for qualifying individuals who are unable to transport themselves to health care, employment, education, shopping, social activities, or other life-sustaining activities. For eligibility and an application please call 561-649-9838 or toll free 1-877-870-9849.

    Palm Tran fixed-route buses travel throughout Palm Beach County and offer a half fare for seniors age 65 and over.  Buses can kneel down to curb level, accommodating passengers with special needs.  All buses are equipped with wheelchair ramps.  Call customer service at 561-841-4BUS or toll-free 877-930-4287.

  • Q: I need financial assistance to purchase a bus pass to get to work. Who can I contact?

  • A: The Transportation Disadvantaged Bus Pass Program is available for low-income households that can provide proof of household income and household size.  Call Palm Tran Connection 561-649-9838 or 1-877-870-9849 (toll-free) for more information.

  • Q: Where can I park my car if I want to use public transportation?

    A: Palm Tran has several convenient park-and-ride locations for riders to utilize.   There is no additional charge to park in one of these lots. Call customer service for specific location information 561-841-4BUS or 877-930-4287. Parking is also available at Tri-Rail stations.

  • Q: I am disabled and live in a hurricane evacuation zone. What are my transportation options when a storm comes?

  • A: Register with Palm Tran Connection for the Special Transportation Assistance Program by calling 561-649-9848 or 877-870-9849 (toll-free) for an application.
