The Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Program is sponsored by the State of Florida Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund. Service is provided anywhere in Palm Beach County during the same hours and days as Palm Tran fixed route bus service. To become eligible for TD service, the applicant must submit proof of income, or a physician completed medical verification form and their completed application. The fare is $3.00 per one-way trip.
Per the Board of County Commission’s directive on October 6, 2009, service under the categories of Educational and Adult Day Care was reinstated and subsequently extended until January 31, 2010. Therefore, Connection service provided under the Transportation Disadvantaged Program (TD) is limited to the following trip purposes: Medical, Nutritional (meal site and food shopping), Employment, Educational (work, job training, job interviews, work training and workshops) and Adult Day Care. No trips for any other purpose will be provided by Connection under our TD services. |
The $2.00 TD Fare Subsidy will no longer be available. TD trips will require a $3.00 per one-way fare for all trips. There will be no exceptions. Customers are expected to pay their fare upon boarding. Failure to have your fare ready may result in the rescheduling of your transportation.
