Compliance Coordinator
Seeking a well organized and PC proficient individual with excellent communication skills to perform complex and diverse duties in Human Resources. Candidate needs to possess a strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and Affirmative Action plans and needs to exercise a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the enforcement of policy, programming and procedures relating to the above programs. Duties also include, working closely with Risk Management on FMLA and Workers' Compensation, as well as Palm Tran's Recruiter and the Department Head on monitoring Affirmative Action Plan goals. $19.35 per hour to start. Transit Technician Trainees Palm Tran is accepting applications for full time positions for our Delray, West Palm Bch or Belle Glade Maintenance Facilities. Performs beginning/entry level preventive maintenance and repair on transit buses, mechanical equipment, and support vehicles, both gasoline and diesel powered, including but not limited to engine adjustment, braking systems, steering systems and suspension systems and electrical and hydraulic parts and associated components. Assists and works with Maintenance Technicians and/or Supervisor to learn the equipment diagnosis and repair techniques. The minimum requirements for this position are: High school diploma or equivalent certification (GED); two (2) years of related mechanical experience; valid FL CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement or CDL Learners permit; driving record subject to approval by Palm Beach County’s Risk Management; must include copy of your drivers license and/or permit and related certification(s) with application; must pass related written exam. Heavy-duty vehicle equipment including Electrical systems and Air Conditioning experience preferred. A pre-employment physical and drug test are required. $23.49 per hour ($25.25 per hour after successful completion of training).
