Appraisal Data
Management

The Appraisal Data Management collects and reviews property data from a variety of sources such as building permits for residential, commercial and agricultural properties. The data is used to help prepare the annual tax roll.

Property reviews, verification of sales, petitions to the Value Adjustment Board and corrections to the annual tax roll also are collected and maintained by ADM.

To ensure accuracy, the staff verifies all appraisal data through certain procedures. The data is used to produce the annual Notice of Proposed Property Taxes. On behalf of Palm Beach County taxing authorities, the Property Appraiser's Office mails the notices every August to property owners. The mailer also notes the property's new and previous assessment.
