Property Appraiser Gary R. Nikolits, CFA, is happy to announce that employees of the Property Appraiser’s Office contributed 4 tons, or 8,112 pounds, of canned food to its 12th annual Holiday Food Drive.

Extended Hands Community Outreach in Pleasant City received the bounty Friday, Nov. 18. The non-profit volunteer organization serves Thanksgiving Dinner to the Pleasant City community, and operates a Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen. This is the 7th consecutive year the Property Appraiser’s Office has donated to Extended Hands.

"We hope our contribution will help individuals and families who would otherwise do without the basic necessity of food this holiday season," said Nikolits. "It is especially rewarding to us to know that every ounce of food donated by our employees will be distributed right here in our own community."
