    Chief Deputy Jacks elected VP

IAAO members have elected Chief Deputy Property Appraiser Dorothy Jacks vice president for the 2016 term.  

Chief Deputy Property Appraiser Dorothy Jacks, CFE, AAS, has been elected vice president of the International Association of Assessing Officers. Her term begins in January 2016.

“I am very pleased to have been elected by my peers to IAAO’s governing body,” said Ms. Jacks.

Her election to the vice presidency means she will become president-elect in 2017 and
president in 2018.

Property Appraiser Gary Nikolits, CFA, praised Ms. Jacks’ 27 years with the Property Appraiser’s Office. “The depth and breadth of her knowledge and experience in the on-going work of our office is extraordinary and I am proud that the IAAO membership has elected her to this important leadership position.”

The IAAO is a 7,000 member organization with state-wide chapters in the U.S., Canada and 27 countries. Founded in 1934, IAAO is recognized as the leader for mass appraisal standards and is the largest organization of professional assessing officers in the world. Its mission is to promote excellence in property appraisal and administration through professional development and education. Ms. Jacks has been a member of IAAO since 1993. She is a former president of the Florida chapter, past-board member of the IAAO, and currently chairs its International Committee.
