LEARN to SWIM at a COUNTY POOL!
Palm Beach County is proud to offer the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program, the most comprehensive and effective program available. The progressive skill levels are designed to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop and refine their skills. Each group lesson has a minimum and maximum enrollment and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Children are grouped into five skill levels. The cost is $50 per session and may be paid for by check or money order payable to Board of County Commissioners. All classes are taught by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors.
| PARENT and TOT |
Participants will get comfortable with and oriented to the aquatic environment. This is great preparation for entering Level I.

| LEVEL I |
Participants will learn to blow bubbles, become water friendly, and start to learn the basic strokes of the front and back crawl.

| LEVEL II |
Participants will learn to float, begin to combine arm and leg actions for the front and back crawl strokes, and be introduced to the deep water.

| LEVEL III |
Participants will learn elementary backstroke, how to tread water, deep water exploration, and will be introduced to water safety skills.
|
| LEVEL IV |
Participants will focus on additional stroke techniques, such as breaststroke and sidestroke, and begin to build their endurance.
|
| LEVEL V |
| This level is designed to refine the strokes learned in the lower levels. Participants will also begin to learn various turns and additional water safety techniques. |
