The
Therapeutic Recreation Section develops and implements programming for individuals with disabilities. This section offers a unique opportunity for student interns earning a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. You will be supervised by an NCTRC certified professional. As a member of the TR team you may:
- Research and develop programming for individuals with disabilities based on community needs
- Clinically assess and implement individualized recreation plans
- Attend steering committee meetings
- Participate in fundraising efforts for Special Olympics and VSA arts
- Plan and conduct awareness training sessions for interoffice staff and community agencies
