Daily Park Maintenance / Caretaking
Monday-Friday starting at 7:00 am - no later than 3:30 pm.
Must be willing to get hot and dirty, must have a driver’s license and be able to operate a utility vehicle. Will operate some small tools like blowers, mowers and string trimmers, loppers, rakes, and shovels.
Program Docents for Historical Walking Tours, Nature Programs [Weekends & Weekdays]
The ability to speak in front of large groups clearly and knowledge of the subject (Educational information and training available).
Historic Sawmill Operators [Weekends & Weekdays]
Ability to work around loud heavy equipment and logs.
Farmstead
Docents and special event assistance at historic farmstead, assist with parking, event coordination, vendors, music, volunteer groups.
Wildlife Management
Assistance with managing and recording wildlife in park – ability to record data, work in hot and wet environment, early/late hours.
Canoe Guide On Waterway Trails [Weekends & Weekdays]
Ability to paddle, canoe, or kayak and lead tours through Riverbend waterways or up the Loxahatchee River.
Educational Research and Information
Design bulletin boards, historic pamphlets, nature guides – ability to write and design bulleting boards.
