Q. What form of payment is accepted?
A. The parking kiosks accept bills and the following credit cards: Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
Q. How do these parking kiosks work?
A. You need to note your parking space number before going to the kiosk. They work in a similar manner to banking ATM machines. Instructions are posted on the kiosks, and on-screen prompts assist you through the necessary steps. To assist you with any questions you may have, please call the Palm Beach County Parks Division at (561) 963-6771.
Q. Is the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department the first to use these parking kiosks?
A. Locally, the City of Fort Lauderdale, City of Delray Beach, Sunny Isles, Lauderdale by the Sea and Florida Atlantic University are successfully using these parking kiosks.
Q. Will my credit card data be secure?
A. All of the credit card data stored in the parking kiosks is encrypted so that it cannot be read by anyone, including Parks staff authorized for payment processing. The credit card transactions are approved in real-time; therefore, you can check with your bank to verify the amount charged that day.
Q. Does the parking kiosk give change or issue refunds?
A. No.
Q. What happens if the parking kiosk doesn’t work?
A. In the rare situation that an individual parking kiosk goes offline, customers can still park in a space near the out-of-service kiosk as long as they purchase parking from another kiosk. If you are having trouble with a parking kiosk or would like to report a problem, please call the Parks Division at (561) 966-6655.
Q. Are the parking kiosks accessible to people with disabilities?
A. All bill and card aperture locations are compatible with the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) requirements.
Q. Do I have to pay if I have a handicap placard?
A. Vehicles displaying the handicap placard are only exempt from the parking fee if the vehicle has specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts, or foot or hand controls, for use by a person who has a disability, or is displaying the Florida Toll Exemption permit.
Q. Who do I contact for more information about the parking kiosks?
