Program Calendar

 

Reservations are required for ALL programs (unless otherwise noted). Please call if you are not able to attend the program to allow those on the waiting list to attend. If you are more than five minutes late to a program you have made a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

Participants/guardians are required to sign a Program Participation Form upon arrival to the program. Program fees are due upon arrival to the program.

DAILY ANIMAL FEEDINGS

  • Daily when the center is open 3:15pm-3:30pm
    Families / All Ages, FREE (Reservations NOT Required)
    3:15pm is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about a specific animal and then watch while they are fed.

    • Wednesday – Alligator
    • Thursday – Snake
    • Friday – Skunk
    • Saturday - Alligator


AUGUST

  • MOMMY, MOTHER NATURE and ME
    “OUTDOOR CLASSROOM”
    Friday, August 1, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 2-5, $4/child (Reservations Required – Call 561-629-8760)
    The popular Mommy & Me program is BACK! Get ready to explore a different type of classroom setting as your little one learns about nature through active play. This program introduces children to nature through music, stories, and activities specifically designed for toddlers.  Please RSVP as space is limited. Call 561-629-8760.

    “ALL ABOUT OWLS”
    Tuesday, August 5, 3:00 p.m.

    Saturday, August 9, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
    All Ages, FREE, No RSVP Required
    Celebrate another great year of our sweet skunk “George” with crafts, animal enrichment and even make a personalized birthday card we will post for her and everyone else to enjoy!     The wet season is here and this program will get your little one excited about the creatures that live in the swamp. They will even meet our resident juvenile alligator up close and personal too! SEPTEMBER

  • MOMMY, MOTHER NATURE and ME: FAIR WEATHER WITH FRIENDS
    Friday, September 5, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 2-5, $4/child (Reservations Required)
    Learn about the seasons and find out what local animals do when the weather changes! This program introduces children to nature through music, stories, and activities specifically designed for toddlers.

  • MOMMY, MOTHER NATURE and ME: BUSY BEES
    Friday, September 19, 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 2-5, $4/child (Reservations Required)
    Find out what the BUZZ is all about! Make bee buzzers to take home after exploring these amazing insects. Enjoy stories, activities, music, and learn the Bee Dance. Mommy & Me programs are specifically designed to introduce children to nature through active play.

  • NATURALIST PROGRAM: ALL ABOUT AMPHIBIANS
    Saturday, September 20, 1:00 p.m.
    All Ages; $3/participant (Reservations Required)
    Join the nature center’s naturalist for a family friendly program focusing on the amazing world of amphibians! Learn beyond simple metamorphosis and meet the nature center’s resident amphibians up close and personal.
