  • TAI CHI

    Experience the benefits of this ancient Chinese system of exercise and meditation. Improve your flexibility, balance, muscle tone, energy and mental well being.

    Come start your day with us and enjoy coffee and refreshments before embarking on a one hour birding tour with one of our naturalists.

  • NATURES GRAFITTI

    Most of you probably know that there is a lion hidden in the boardwalk, but have you seen the panda? How about the face of the little boy? Seymour Weiner has seen all of these and more, and has written a book about all of the hidden pictures in the knots and grooves along the Green Cay Boardwalk. Join him in this free event to learn more about them!

  • WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP
    Taught by wildlife artist Philip Rathner
    Saturday, October 18 & 25; November 1 & 8, 1:00 p.m.
    $30/for all 4 sessions, $20/Friends of Green Cay members (Reservations required)

    Learn to paint wildlife in watercolors. An introduction to watercolor painting, materials needed and how to use them will be provided. Participants who attended last year’s workshop are welcome to bring any complete or incomplete work for additional help. Beginners welcome.

  • SCIENCE FOR SENIORS: SPIDERS AND THE WEBS THEY WEAVE
    Wednesday, October 22, 1:00 p.m.
    Ages 50+, $5/person

    Did you know that a single strand of a spider web has more potential energy than the bomb dropped on Nagasaki? Or that a Spider egg contains as much DNA as four human beings? Join us to learn fun fact about spiders, and get up close and personal with one!
