Bring your class to an exciting, hands-on program at Green Cay! School programs are tailored to the educational level of your class (K-12) through using appropriate concepts and vocabulary as well as incorporating Sunshine State Standards. School programs are offered Wednesday - Friday mornings and last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. All programs are by reservation only. Fees are $1 per student, with a maximum of 60 students. Reptiles and Amphibians
Get up close and personal with reptiles and amphibians! Bring your class on a journey with us as we explore:
- Lifestyles and characteristics of herps.
- How they fit into the food chain.
- What it means to be cold-blooded.
We will also discover several herps that live in our wetlands and find out why they are important to this habitat.

This stimulating program takes a close look at:

Your students will study how each bird has different characteristics according to where it lives, what it eats, and how it behaves. We will also look and listen for birds that live in our wetlands and discover why wetlands are important to many birds.

This hands-on lesson includes:
- The water cycle.
- Functions of wetlands.
- Wetland wildlife and their food chains.
- A walk through our re-claimed wetland.

South Florida Animals
This program will explore the lives of various animals we have here in South Florida. Live animals and artifacts will be used to compare and contrast adaptations and to examine their life cycles. Groups of animals to be discussed include:
