Lake Worth Lagoon Speaker Series at Daggerwing Nature Center For immediate release: September 2, 2010 Daggerwing Nature Center will host the Lake Worth Lagoon Speaker Series: Let’s Talk Trash on Saturday, October 9 at 2:00 pm. Lake Worth Lagoon is Palm Beach County’s largest estuary, connected to the ocean by two major inlets. Join special guest Otto Speilbichler of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for a short interactive presentation and fun game about how long it takes for trash to decompose in the ocean and its impacts on wildlife. The event is free and pre-registration is not required. Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in South County Regional Park at 11200 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. ### |
