ABOUT US
The Palm Beach County Special Events Section of Palm Beach County's Park & Recreation Department was created to assist users in obtaining the necessary permits to hold a Special Event in one of our many County Parks. Event staff will attempt to provide the highest level of customer service and guide you through the process from start to finish in hopes that you find the experience pleasurable and your event successful.

DEFINITION OF A SPECIAL EVENT
Palm Beach County defines a special event through Park Ordinance 2004-022 and Departmental PPM D00-023 as any activity, other than athletic, held on County park property which involves one or more of the following:

A permitted activity which is either, open to the general public, for the purpose of raising funds, or involves collecting monies or tickets on park property and may be in variance of the general use of the facility, in excess of the carrying capacity of the requested area and/or creates additional impact to general park use.

Examples of a special event include walks, runs, concerts, festivals, fairs, cook-offs or other non-routine celebrations or happenings.

STAFF
The Special Events section is based at the main Parks & Recreation Administration Building in John Prince Park. We are West of I-95 at 2700 6th Avenue South in Lake Worth, FL. 33461 We are East of Congress Avenue and just South of Palm Beach Community College. Staff is available to assist you regarding your event between the hours of 8AM and 5PM Monday through Friday except Holidays.
