Camp Positions

Summer Camp Counselor

All Summer Camp staff must attend a four day training and complete CPR/1st Aid certification prior to camp.

Camps run from June 16–August 8, 2008, at the following locations:

DAY CAMP COUNSELOR (June–August)

Salary: $11.13 per hour
Hours: 40 variable hours/week, Monday–Friday
Description: Plans, organizes, and conducts a variety of camp activities and special events for children ages 6–11 or 12–15. Works directly with a group conducting arts and crafts, games, and other sports. Maintains attendance records; conducts safety checks of the facility and equipment; supervises campers while on field trips; and completes program evaluation.

Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of college-level course work (must specify-30-semester/45-quarter hours) in Recreation, Education, Health and Physical Education, or a related field OR one (1) year of experience working with children in a recreation or physical education program.
