Therapeutic Recreation Camp

 

Therapeutic Recreation Camp for Campers with Development Disabilities – Ages 13-22

The program provides fun and exciting recreation experiences, while helping participants set and achieve personal goals. Experiences include sports, games, community activities, arts, crafts, and special events. Each participant must be able to participate in a 6:1 ratio without the assistance of an inclusion aide. Participants must be able to feed, toilet, and dress themselves independently.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Ages: 13-22 with developmental delays
Program hours: 4 two-week sessions from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm daily 
Early bird hours: 7:30-9:00 am
Late bird hours: 4:00-5:30 pm
Location: CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, 2728 Lake Worth Rd., Lake Worth
Cost: $215 per session

Session I: June 15-26
Session II: June 29-July 10 (No camp on July 4)
Session III: July 13-24, 2009
Session IV: July 27-August 7

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES FOR TR CAMPS

  • In the interest of fairness, a maximum of four children may be registered per adult
  • Walk-in registration begins on Monday, March 23, 2009, from 8:30 am until all sessions are filled at the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, 2728 Lake Worth Rd., Lake Worth
  • Registration is open until filled
  • A copy of the participants birth certificate is required at the time of registration
  • Please note: Ages listed are as of September 1, 2009
