Palm Beach County Days in Tallahassee
Palm Beach County Days in Tallahassee - See more photos

Palm Beach County Days is an important part of the political process, providing a visible presence in Tallahassee and giving county officials an opportunity to influence legislation. The event attracts more than 400 local and community leaders who travel en masse to Tallahassee. If those same residents visited the capital individually, they might have little impact. But a group of this size makes an impression.

PBC Days’ main goal is to raise awareness regarding our legislative issues and to return more tax dollars to our county. This is done through a series of events over a three-day period. The events focus on local issues, and give leaders a unique networking experience.

Palm Beach County Days begins with a Kick-Off Party at the historic Goodwood Museum and Gardens. The informal barbeque provides the nearly 700 guests with an enjoyable evening of great food and music, and offers a unique opportunity to network with state legislators and other community leaders.

The next morning, a breakfast reception, featuring speakers from the county and the state, sets the tone for a full day. The breakfast is followed by a Speakers Forum in the Capitol; exhibits highlighting county businesses and organizations in the Capitol Rotunda; and lobbying sessions teaching attendees how to effectively communicate their message to legislators. A luncheon on the 22nd floor of the Capitol continues the informational lobbying. Speakers from the county and the state address issues important to Palm Beach County. The frank exchange achieves everything the event is about: county residents expressing their needs directly to the power brokers who have the authority to address them.
