Palm Beach County’s Fire-Rescue Department
will now provide a full range of fire and emergency medical services to the
nearly 10,000 residents of the Town of Lake Park.

In early June,
Town Council members voted to contract with the County to take over
their Fire Department services, and on June 29th, both town and County
representatives joined together at the Lake Park Fire Station in
celebration of their partnership. |
Lake Park
firefighters stand proudly as new members of Palm Beach County
Fire-Rescue.
County Commissioner Karen T. Marcus, Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue Chief
Herman Brice, and County Administrator Bob Weisman welcomed town
officials, firefighters, and volunteers and congratulated them on their
decision to merge resources with County Fire-Rescue. The current Lake
Park firefighters were all retained and presented with their new Palm
Beach County Fire-Rescue certification. |

Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue services to the
town will include fire suppression, emergency medical services, water/dive
rescue, high angle and confined space rescue and Hazardous Materials
mitigation. Daily emergency response will be provided by three personnel
staffing one Advanced Life Support Engine Co. with full fire suppression and
EMS capabilities, and one Advanced Life Support Paramedic Rescue Unit.
