Fire Rescue Station No. 53
Groundbreaking Ceremony
Friday, July 26th 2002- W. Boca Raton- Construction began on a brand new
fire rescue facility early Friday morning. Fire Rescue Station No. 53 is
being constructed to replace the existing satellite facility located at
19950 Lyons Road in suburban Boca Raton. The completed facility will be a 5.
500 square foot CBS structure with two drive-through bays designed by Steve
Boruff Associates. Fire Station No. 53 serves the area of central suburban
Boca Raton including the communities of Century Village and Whisper Walk as
well as providing coverage to Olympic Heights High School. Daily emergency
response is provided by three personnel, staffing one Advanced Life Support
Paramedic unit. The expected occupancy of the new fire station is June 2003.
