2010 Expo a Great Success

2010 CRS Flood & Hurricane Awareness Expo a Great Success
The Community Rating System’s Annual Flood & Hurricane Awareness Expo, held June 19, 2010 at the Boynton Beach Mall, was one of the most successful yet. Over 10,000 patrons passed through the Mall during expo hours. Traffic through the exhibition area was steady all day and visitors enjoyed the interactive and educational activities and giveaways immensely. This year’s theme was “Extreme Weather - Strained Budgets: In These Turbulent Times Flood Insurance is Still a Smart Investment.” Nearly 1,000 fake $100 bills wrapped around Hershey bars and containing flood and flood insurance tips and facts were handed out. Record volumes of flood-related brochures and pamphlets were given away. Despite the tough economic times, participation and enthusiasm was better than ever.
