• LIDAR - Improves Flood Mapping Accuracy

Palm Beach County recently completed an aerial mapping project using Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) technologies. These technologies will provide a very accurate method for determining terrain elevations throughout the county. This information, in turn, will be incorporated into future Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Coastal Surge Maps to ensure you get fair rates on your flood insurance.
