The Operations Section responds to major emergency incidents to provide support and coordination of local, state, and federal resources. The Section manages the Emergency Operations Center during disaster activation functions ensuring that all Emergency Support Functions are present at the EOC and function at an optimum level, as well as coordinating the evacuation and risk shelters with the American Red Cross. The Operations Sections provides 24-hour, 7-day communications for specific county departments and partner agencies. This section serves as the County Warning Point and coordinates with the State Warning Point. The Operations Section has overall responsibility for the Division Logistics unit, 911, Emergency Medical Services and the Health Medical Programs.
