NOTICE - Building Division's New Hours of Operation

Beginning July 5th, the Building Division will be returning to a standard 40 hour work-week. Office hours open to the public, will then be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with last sign in for permit application at 4:30 p.m. South County Drop-Off hours will be Monday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with last sign in for permit application at 4:30 p.m. and closed for lunch 1 hour from noon to 1:00pm. Inspectors will be working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to take advantage of daylight hours during the winter months, and to be as productive as possible in a traditional construction workday. We look forward to serving our customers in the framework of these standard hours.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Building Division is to provide a high level of building code compliance for the preservation of life, safety and the general welfare for the people of Palm Beach County.

This is accomplished through the enactment and enforcement of effective codes and standards to ensure the structural strength, sanitation, fire protection, adequate light and ventilation, and other essential elements of life safety in the built environment. The Building Division accomplishes their Mission with a maximum goal in service and efficiency.
