Policies relevant to school concurrency
FLU OBJECTIVE 2.2.8 Institutional and
Public Facilities
Policy 2.2.8-b: Institutional and Public
Facility uses may be allowed in all future land use designations,
provided the uses are consistent with the provisions of the
Comprehensive Plan and Unified Land Development Code (ULDC).
Policy 2.2.8-c: The County shall seek
to co-locate public facilities, such as parks, libraries, and
community centers, with schools to the extent possible as sites for
these facilities and for schools are chosen and development plans
prepared.
FLU OBJECTIVE 1.2 Urban/Suburban Tier
Policy 1.2-f: The County shall encourage the
location of schools proximate to urban residential areas by:

Assisting the School District in identifying
funding and/or construction opportunities (including developer
participation or County capital budget expenditures) for
sidewalks, traffic signalization, access, water, sewer, drainage
and other infrastructure improvements;

Providing an alternative and expedited review
for all school sites as provided in Policy 2.2-b of the Public
School Facilities Element; and,
- Considering schools as an allowable use within all urban
residential land use categories.
