Administrative Review & Public Information

The Administrative Review & Public Infor-mation (AR/PI) Section is responsible for the reviewing administrative applications and oversees the general public information function of the Division.
Type of applications and services provided in this Section are:

  • Variances: Type IA, IB
  • Special Permits
  • Zoning Confirmation Letters
  • Planner On-call/Customer Walk-ins for general information
  • Maintain the Zoning ezINFO

  • Administrative Review

Applications for Type IA, IB  variances are submitted to the section the first Tuesday of each month and are reviewed by staff and relevant County agencies. A staff report and recommendation is prepared by staff and provided to the applicant  one week prior to the administrative meeting.

Special Permits and Zoning Confirmation Letters are submitted to the Section at a regularly scheduled weekly or bi-weekly deadline and reviewed and processed by staff.

Minor amendments to site plans and subdivision plans through Signature Only and Administrative Amendment are processed every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 9:00 AM, on a first come first serve basis (exception 3rd Thursday of each month there is no intake). The applicant must sign in with the receptionist in the Zoning Division prior to the noon deadline, on the day of intake.

Planner On-Call is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Wednesday for walk-in customers only. The Planner is available to assist the public with general zoning related questions. Staff allots 15 minutes for walk-ins and if additional time or information is needed you can arrange a meeting with a Planner to follow-up on your inquires.
