Landscape Bond
Application Process
Landscape
bonds are required for :
Temporary suspension due to drought
or certain construction delays.
BOND REQUIREMENTS
The following documents are
required with all Bond applications:
- Three (3) separate estimates of all work to be
completed on-site associated with the Landscape Inspection.. This estimate
should include but not limited to: plant materials, irrigation, sod,
fencing, labor, etc.)
- Estimates should be submitted to
Landscape Inspection section with a corresponding site
plan indicating where the landscaping improvements are not being installed.
- Once Inspector reviews estimates, a letter is
sent to Developer or Home Owner, outlining any changes needed to estimates
or is it accepted, tell them the Bond amount 110% of accepted estimate.
- Bond should be either Surety or Performance
Bond.
- Developer or Home Owner obtains bond and
completes Completion Agreement. Bond is made out to PBC, Board of County
Commission with a Annual Renewal Clause.
RENEWAL OF APPLICATION
- Staff reviews the completed paperwork.
- The Project Manager clearly explaining why
prepares a cover Memo and what the Bond was for.
- The memo is attached to the Bond, Completion
Agreement.
- Five copies are made: Developer (Home Owner),
Petition File, Landscape Inspector, Building Inspection Section and Original
Memo/Bond, copy of completion agreement goes to Pasco D’Agostino in
Administration.
- The Building Inspection Section will note the
Completion Date on the Completion Agreement Form and put a follow-up
inspection on the Mainframe (6 months or year later).
- When the inspection comes due, the Inspector
will check the site for compliance.
- If site is compliance the Inspector or
Developer or Home Owner will request the Zoning Division to release Bond.
