APPOINTING AUTHORITY: Board of County Commissioners (BCC)

COMPOSITION, QUALIFICATIONS, TERMS AND REMOVAL: The Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals, (CBAA) of Palm Beach County as created by HB #1817, Chapter 65-2051, Laws of Florida; Ord. #87-15 as amended, is hereby designated as the Local Construction Regulation Board. The chairperson and vice chairperson of the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals shall serve as chairperson and vice chairperson of the Local Construction Regulation Board.

MEETINGS: Meetings may be convened by the Director, giving written notice thereof to each member at least seven (7) business days prior to meeting date.

FUNCTIONS: To hear and decide whether or not certified contractors, including electrical contractors, are guilty of fraud or willful building code violations within PBC. May deny the issuance of a building permit(s) or electrical permit(s) if contractor is found guilty.
