Flood Damage Prevention

In accordance with Palm Beach County's Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance, structures located in Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA) must comply with regulations designed to prevent flood damage. Special Flood Hazard Areas are defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency - National Flood Insurance Program (FEMA-NFIP) and are depicted on Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). Palm Beach County can provide a determination of whether a property is within a SFHA.
