Residential Projects
This resource is a compilation of unincorporated and municipal residential approval and building activity for Palm Beach County. Unincorporated Residential Projects - Updated March 2008The majority of recent residential development in Palm Beach County has occurred in large-scale, master-planned communities. The following map displays the location of approved residential projects and subdivisions with fifty or more dwelling units. These projects are located in the unincorporated part of the county, outside of any municipal boundaries, and are approved by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. The project listing provides additional information for the developments. Palm Beach County Planning staff gathers this information on a biannual basis. For questions regarding this information, contact Patricia Behn at (561) 233-5332. The list is sorted sequentially by the Map Index. Additionally, all known official project/development names (as filed with the County's Zoning Division) and unofficial (AKA) names are sorted alphabetically at the back of the listing, and appropriately cross-referenced. All subdivisions with 50 units or more are included unless part of a larger planned development (PUD); such developments are not listed separately, but are reflected in the approved and built numbers for the parent PUD. The information provided for each project includes acreage (incomplete for some older projects), approved single or multi family units, built single or multi family units, the number of units remaining to be built, and that number's percentage of the total approved dwelling units. The Project Number is a tracking number used by the County's Planning, Zoning & Building Department and the Land Development Division of the Department of Engineering. The Petition Number is the tracking number used by the Zoning Division. The Map Index number corresponds to the Map Index number as depicted on the Projects Map. The numbers are in the format of 4-49; the first number indicates the map index page, and the second number is sequential. Municipal Residential Projects - Updated May 2008 The following maps show the residential communities that are located within city boundaries in Palm Beach County. This information is collected from a variety of sources, including the Palm Beach County School Board, and greatly relies on the support of municipal cooperation. As such, the list may be updated at various times of the year for each city and have varying levels of accuracy. The maps are divided into four geographic sections of the county: North, Central, South, and the municipalities in the Glades area. The project listing provides additional information for each development, categorized by municipality. For questions regarding this information, contact Patricia Behn at (561) 233-5332.
