General Assistance
The Zoning Division provides assistance for the public needing general zoning related information. The general public may call or walk-in and receive assistance on a variety of issues related to property from an on-call planner. The On-Call Planner is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Closed on Wednesday. Typical inquires may include:

• Current zoning
• Allowed uses
• Required development regulations, such as setbacks,
  building height and building coverage.

Code Assistance
As part of the general assistance to the public, the on-call planners may also provide a preliminary review of proposed projects and outline the required development approvals needed to complete the project.

Licensing Sign-Off
The Zoning Division charges a $30.00 dollar fee to confirm that the business use is appropriate for the property’s zoning designation in Unincorporated Palm Beach County. A site inspection is required by the Code Enforcement Division and other inspections such as Fire Safety, may be necessary depending on the business use.
