Benefits
Full time employees of the Palm Beach County Tax Collector are eligible to participate in a comprehensive employee benefit package, including the following:

Paid Time Off
Full time employees earn a generous allotment of paid time off (PTO) for illness, vacation, medical/dental appointments or personal matters.

Holiday Pay
We observe 12 paid holidays per year.

Jury Duty & Bereavement
The Tax Collector also offers jury duty and bereavement pay benefits to full time employees.

Medical Insurance
Choice of CIGNA health plans with large network of providers and three-tiered prescription coverage.

Dental Insurance
Coverage for employees who elect medical coverage through the Tax Collector's Office.

Life/AD&D Insurance
Employer-paid coverage pays 150% of employee's annual salary, to a maximum benefit of $150,000.

Short Term Disability
Employer-paid coverage replaces 60% of employee's pay after exhaustion of available paid leave.

Long Term Disability
Employer-paid coverage pays 60% of salary if employee is unable to return to work after 180 days of illness.

Supplemental Insurance
Supplemental life, accident, hospital and cancer policies are available through payroll deduction.

Retirement Plan
In addition to participation in the Florida Retirement System, full time employees may elect to participate in Nationwide Benefits Solutions' 457 plan for tax sheltered savings.

Other
Additional benefits for full time employees include tuition reimbursement, an Employee Assistance Program, pre-tax payment of public transit expense, free parking, choice of service awards, and direct deposit.

No Current Openings For Client Service Specialist

Our most common opening is for entry level Client Service Specialists in one of our service centers. Job duties for a Client Service Specialist include:

  • Processing motor vehicle registrations and title applications
  • Accepting property tax payments
  • Issuing hunting and fishing licenses and Business Tax Receipts

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, successful completion of the Administrative Skills Test which includes spelling, basic math, filing and other general questions. You must be able to obtain an overall score of 80% or higher, with a minimum of 80% accuracy on the spelling test.

Starting pay is $13.81 per hour.
