Anne M. Gannon Appointed to Inaugural
Tax Collector Steering Committee

WEST PALM BEACH – The Honorable Anne M. Gannon, Palm Beach County Tax Collector, has been appointed to serve a one-year term on the inaugural Tax Collector Steering Committee created by Electra Theodorides-Bustle, Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).

The Committee is designed to assist DHSMV with efforts relating to strategic planning, legislative issues and customer service and will meet quarterly.

“As the people in the field, tax collector offices are well suited to assist the DMV in identifying and prioritizing key issues that impact delivery of motorist services to the public,” explained Ms. Gannon, “I’m honored to provide guidance and recommendations on substantive issues such as legislation and innovative customer service.”

The Committee consists of the Executive Director of the DHSMV, the Executive Director of the Florida Tax Collector’s Association, four members from the DHSMV and six tax collectors. The intent of the DHSMV is that the tax collector members be structured to offer equitable representation to both small and large counties, rural and urban counties, and those doing both motor vehicle and driver license services.

The Palm Beach County Tax Collector does not yet offer driver license service.
