WEST PALM BEACH – The Honorable Anne M. Gannon, Palm Beach County Tax Collector, is pleased to announce that beginning Monday, September 17, fast title service will be offered at the North County (3188 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens) and Lake Worth (3551 S. Military Trail, Lake Worth) branch offices. The Tax Collector is the agent for the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for titling and registering all motor vehicles. Regular titles are mailed from Tallahassee within one to two weeks after the transaction is completed in our offices. Fast titles are issued the same day for an additional $7.00 fee.
Fast Title service is currently available at our Downtown West Palm Beach (301 N. Olive, 1st floor) and Royal Palm Beach (200 Civic Center Way, Royal Palm Beach) branch offices. If all documentation is correct, a Certificate of Title is produced in the office and is available upon conclusion of the transaction. Complete documentation checklists are available on our website at www.taxcollectorpbc.com. If the requester of the title is not the owner of the vehicle, the requester must have Power of Attorney or an Authorization Affidavit from the vehicle owner.
The following forms of payment are acceptable to obtain a fast title:
Cash
Check Drawn on a local bank from the local Federal Reserve District (the routing number must begin with 06)
Money Order
Cashier’s Check
All Tax Collector branch offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
