WEST PALM BEACH – November 28, 2007 The recently renovated Tax Collector website has been enhanced by adding Spanish and Creole translation. The Spanish and Creole versions of the website will be available to the public Thursday, November 29th.
U.S. Census figures indicate that over 20% of the population of Palm Beach County speaks a language other than English. Since a growing number of our clients are Spanish or Creole speaking, the translation was added for their use. This informational tool provides access to a wealth of information that will allow business with our office to be conducted from home. Users can access the translated versions of the website by conveniently pressing one button on the home page.
Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon stressed that “Nearly a quarter of our clients speak languages other than English. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service to all the citizens of Palm Beach County and the government agencies we serve. We endorse any process that facilitates convenient and efficient collection of taxes.”
