The Tax Collector is the agent of the Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission for the sale of all hunting licenses,
fresh and salt-water fishing licenses, waterfowl stamps, and
game management permits.

Important Information about Hunting and Fishing Permits:
- In 2007, the Office of the Tax Collector processed 3,200
Hunting and Fishing Licenses in Palm Beach County.
- Popular licenses may be obtained from subagents such as
sport stores, bait and tackle shops, and some department
stores.
- Licenses are annual and expire 12 months from the date
of issuance.
- Lifetime and Senior citizen fishing licenses are available
through the Tax Collector's Office only.
- Anyone born on or after June 1,1975, must have passed
an approved hunter education course before they can be licensed
to take wildlife in Florida.
- An application for a disability fishing license may be obtained from your local Tax Collector’s Office and must be mailed to Tallahassee for issuance.
