Are your Property Taxes Delinquent?

It’s April. Property Taxes are delinquent. Now, what happens? When Real Estate Property Taxes become delinquent, 3% interest plus advertising charges, will be applied to the total amount due. Tangible Personal Property Taxes also become delinquent April 1, at which time 1.5% interest plus advertising charges will be applied to the total amount due. Real estate property taxes still delinquent on June 1, 2009 will be included in the Tax Certificate Sale.

Payment Conditions – Delinquent Property Taxes

  • Payment must be made in United States funds drawn on a United States bank.
  • The taxes are payable only by cash, bank draft, certified check, money order, United States postal money order or cashier’s check (also known as an official check, teller’s check or treasurer’s check) or wire transfer .
  • The postmark date is not proof of payment - Payments must be received by the Tax Collector’s Office on or before the last work day of the month to be considered paid in that month.

Payment Options – Delinquent Property Taxes

  • Delinquent Property Taxes cannot be paid online.
  • To pay in person visit one of our convenient branch office locations.
  • To pay by mail send payments to:
    • Regular Mail : Tax Collector Palm Beach County, P. O. Box 3353, West Palm Beach, FL 33402-3353.
    • Overnight/Express Mail : Tax Collector Palm Beach County, 301 North Olive Avenue, 3rd Floor, West Palm Beach, FL 33401, ATTN: Property Tax.
