Homeowners who felt there was some level of inequity in property valuation due to Save Our Homes (SOH) can breathe a sigh of relief. Because of a little known interpretation of the SOH legislation called the Recapture Rule, homeowners previously protected from rapidly escalating property value will see an increase in taxable value. Minimum Wage Rate Receives a Boost

Minimum wage employees in Florida will see a slight increase in their pay. The federal minimum wage increased to $7.25 on July 24, 2009. Florida's minimum wage was $7.21 per hour, effective January 1, 2009. Read more>

Deadlines are approaching for application to Florida’s AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps provides opportunities to receive valuable training while building up the community.
