Tax Collector Announces New Organizational Strategic Framework  

On March 13 th, Tax Collector Anne Gannon rolled out her office’s new Mission, Vision and Values. Leading her office on the “Journey to the Ungovernment Experience,” Ms. Gannon held the office’s first ever organization-wide meeting. The Ungovernment Experience means creating service standards that will excite customers, expand resources, exceed operationally and energize employees. Tax Collector Gannon explains that “We strive to mirror the department store that walks around the desk to hand you your purchases. We want to be the organization that goes the extra mile to help every customer. ” Every employee participated in establishing the content of the new framework and therefore has ownership in establishing the new culture.

Our Mission – “The Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s Office collects and distributes taxes, fees and revenues for the benefit of our community.” Our tagline is “Collect, EDUCATE, Distribute.” Educating the public is a core part of our mission. Every phone call, every branch transaction, every tax notice or registration renewal, every public speaking event, every community service event educates the public about who we are and our commitment to service excellence.

Our Values are Teamwork, Learning, Integrity, Professionalism, Communication, Diversity, Creativity and Fiscal Responsibility. Our values represent not only how we interact with the public, but also with each other and are a vital part of our changing culture.
