Helmets for the Holidays

Text Box: As the holiday season nears, our office is supporting deployed service men and women through Forgotten Soldiers Outreach (FSO), an organization that sends care packages to soldiers who may not otherwise receive packages. Bryan
Hyland,Supervisor of Field Services for the Palm Beach County Tax Collector and architect of our holiday fundraising effort, has organized a campaign called “Helmets for the Holidays”. Our office will sell FSO postcards for $1 each and staff can write encouraging or inspirational messages to the soldiers. These postcards will be collected and included with the care packages sent to the troops during the holidays. The proceeds will help pay for postage to send the care packages. The “Helmets for the Holidays” plan is so popular that many companies around the county are adopting the fundraising program. The Tax Collector’s “Helmets for the Holidays” kickoff date is November 13th.
